Veowe

Local currency

Track debt in the currency you actually use.

Veowe doesn't assume everyone lives in one country. Pick your region once and balances, dates and number formats follow you — including in reminders and visuals.

Currencies you can track

  • GBP — British Pound
  • USD — US Dollar
  • EUR — Euro
  • CAD — Canadian Dollar
  • AUD — Australian Dollar
  • NZD — New Zealand Dollar
  • INR — Indian Rupee
  • Custom — set your own symbol and code

Per-project currency

When creating a debt project you can pick a currency that's different from your main app currency. Veowe flags it as a foreign-currency debt and keeps it visually separated from your domestic balances.

The dashboard groups totals by currency rather than pretending to convert them, so you always know which money is which.

Region-aware everything

  • Date formats — DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD.
  • Number formats — 1,234.56, 1.234,56, 1 234,56.
  • Currency code beside symbol — £250 or £250 GBP.
  • Reminder tone and reading level you control.
  • Regional terminology — for example "priority debts" in the UK or "urgent bills" in the US.

Visual progress works across currencies

Walls, jars, scales and progress bars are based on percentage cleared, not on the currency. That means your visuals make sense whether you owe £5,000 or ₹500,000.

Frequently asked questions

Does Veowe support different currencies?

Yes. Veowe can show balances in local currencies such as GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD and NZD, plus a custom currency option. Numbers, dates and currency symbols all follow your selected region.

Can I track debt manually?

Yes. Veowe works without a bank connection — you add each debt project, the original amount, the current balance, your payment amount and the frequency. You can also optionally connect a current account so Veowe can suggest repayment matches for you to review.

Can each debt project use a different currency?

Yes. Each project inherits your main currency by default, but you can choose a different currency per project — useful for foreign-currency loans or relocating between countries. Veowe will not auto-convert balances unless you add an exchange rate yourself.

How do I switch my main currency?

Open Settings → Language & Region. You can pick a region preset, change currency, choose how dates and numbers are formatted, and toggle whether the currency code is shown next to the symbol (for example, £250 vs £250 GBP).

Will visuals still work across currencies?

Yes. Visual progress is based on percentage cleared — original amount, current amount and amount paid — so walls, bars, jars and other visuals work the same regardless of currency.

Does Veowe give region-specific financial advice?

No. Veowe adapts wording and formatting to your region but does not give regulated financial advice. For free, country-specific debt support, see the Tips page — Veowe signposts services such as StepChange (UK), the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (US) and similar non-profits in other regions.
